“Shirley” is a biographical drama film directed and written by John Ridley. It depicts the remarkable life of Shirley Chisholm, the first Black congresswoman in the United States. Regina King shines in the lead role, portraying Chisholm’s inspiring journey through her groundbreaking 1972 presidential campaign.
